- Killer In Disguise
Bad Coburns is a hard rock band based in the northern Italy. Started at the end of 2018, the band takes some cues from iconic 70s legends like Led Zeppelin, Deep purple, Hendrix, Black Sabbath, and blends it with modern hard rock elements and fresh inspiration: a straight forward “Old school rock” with some eclectic sounds and heavy riffs, with the addition of soulful and bluesy vocals, and some shredding solos too.
The project quickly evolved from a sort of jam session between some old friends, to a band driven by true rock n roll hunger, writing original material, thanks also to the new energy and ideas brought in by new members.
Settled on the name of “Bad Coburns” as a tribute to the actor James Coburn, who starred as the “villain” of many westerns, to represent that idea of dirty, ballsy and in your face rock n roll.
The debut single “Killer in disguise”, released on May 14th 2021, anticipated the self-released eponymous EP, on July 16th 2021.
After several live gigs in northern Italy, the band has the opportunity to play live on the famous stage of the Ariston Theater in Sanremo, having been selected for the national finals of Sanremo Rock Festival 2022.
